Tell me if this is you:

  • You love the Italian language and culture

  • You dream of fluent conversations with locals while enjoying a cappuccino on a beautiful terrace…

BUT you’re a busy person, you have little free time and you want to find a fun and efficient way to boost your language learning without committing to large amounts of time.

Does this ring a bell? Well then you’ve come to the right place…because I, Elisa, specialise in cases like yours!

And if you carefully follow the steps I outline for you below, it’s totally possible to study Italian for as little as seven to fifteen minutes a day and see amazing results…

And if you keep watching/reading, you’ll discover how studying seven to fifteen minutes a day for 30 days can help you reach the A2 level (upper beginner) in Italian!

A bold promise, I know, but I’m confident we can do it, and here’s why:

I have been teaching for 20 years now and have experimented with different strategies which have helped me understand what works not only for me but for everyone else!

I now know EXACTLY what you need to do – and in which order – to be able to speak Italian from day one.

In short: I have a system, designed specifically to get you speaking Italian from day one and feeling more and more confident day after day. If you follow it, you will reach an upper beginner/pre-intermediate level and be able to have meaningful conversations with natives in just 30 days.

And it’s this Italian-In-30-Days system that I’ll now explain, so pay close attention…

Let me start by explaining why most people fail at learning a language. It’s probably not what you think!

You see, many people think that five to fifteen minutes is too little time to see any progress.

But in reality, the reason most people stop learning a language is that they set their goals too high.

For instance:

‘I’m going to study for 3 hours a day from today onwards’.

Who has three hours a day? Or even two? Even I don’t spend that much time learning languages, and I’m a BIG language nerd 😀

In most cases, after one or two weeks (or even earlier), you notice that that amount of time isn’t sustainable and you stop.

The secret to making rapid progress in Italian…

In reality, what actually helps us move forward when learning languages is studying every day. Even if it’s just for 10 minutes. It’s the consistency that matters.

If you set a smaller, more manageable goal and keep at it, day after day you will see results. Take things one step at a time and you will learn so much.

When working with my students, I notice that the biggest ‘guarantee for success’ is:

If you are consistent in what you want to achieve (and this relates to any field, from learning a language to, let’s say, starting to work out or focusing on the business you want to grow) for as little as 30 days, you will be amazed at your progress.

Even things that seem intimidating get easier if we divide the load into small steps.

The important thing is the final result. If we don’t do anything, the result is zero. If we do a bit, we will reach our goal at some point, no matter what.

Adults are motivated by results, so if you see that you are making progress, you are much more likely to keep doing the work.

What’s more: if you don’t study every day (especially if a language is new to you) you are likely to forget many things.

And if you forget many things, you get frustrated.

And if you get frustrated….

Well, you quit.

But if you study a bit every day, you won’t forget and you will be motivated.

True, I might not know you personally, but I am pretty sure that you have a busy schedule and that you would be glad to see that with as little as 5 to 15 minutes, you could achieve the results you want. Am I right?

Now, you might think…Elisa, that DOES sound good, but what exactly should I focus on in those 7 to 15 minutes? How do I make my study periods as efficient and rewarding as possible?

To make rapid progress in Italian, two things come into play.

  • On the one hand, reward is about results, and if you focus on the right activities (I’ll tell you which ones in a minute), you will definitely be able to achieve the results you’re after.

  • On the other hand, reward is linked to doing something you find enjoyable.

So here’s what that means in practical terms.

  • If you have more than 5 to 15 minutes free during the day, I always suggest that you include something you really enjoy in your study routine. After all, a language is so broad and varied, and every single thing you do where you get exposure to that language will make a difference in the end, even if it’s not studying! So why not have some fun, right? 🙂

  • However, when you only have little time, you should think about what you want to be able to do with the language (such as being able to talk to people, reading, or understanding movies).

You probably want to be able to do all of this, and you will get there in the end, but it’s always best to start with your main priority

Do you learn languages because you actually want to hold conversations with people?

If so, you should definitely get some speaking practice and above all, if you are a busy person, focus on the bits of the language that help you speak and enable you to express your thoughts, and talk about yourself and your life.

Two simple steps to start holding conversations in Italian

Did you notice I said “learn to speak yourself”, and not “understand Italians when they’re speaking to you”?

This is actually important.

Because of course, improving your listening comprehension skills in order to understand what people are saying is important.

But you’re not a mind-reader, so you can’t know which words other people will use when talking to you!

So at the beginning, as surprising as it might seem, the best thing to do is:

  • to start the conversation; and…

  • to ask questions so that you can choose the topics you are familiar with.

In order to ask questions, express your thoughts and ideas, talk about your life and become what I call an ‘independent speaker’, you should focus on the language structures (or bits) that allow you to say as many meaningful things as possible.

Which language structures help you speak conversational Italian fast?

Language structures are structures that allow you to say much more by simply replacing a word or two.

FOR EXAMPLE:

  • Can you… drive/speak English/swim/play tennis/cook, etc.?

You can look up what to put after ‘Can you’, but you should know the right form of the verb, which verb to use to express the meaning of ‘be able to’ (e.g. In Italian there is more than one translation of the verb ‘can’, depending on the meaning), the right degree of formality, etc.

Where do you live/work/study? …you just replace one word.

When you learn a language structure in the right way, you also learn that the exact same structure is used to express lots of other things.

For example, things for which you would need to know more tenses in English to express the same thing.

Knowing that you can use this form to express something you are going to do (future meaning) in Italian means that you can already imagine how many more things you could say.

For example: ‘Where are you going?/Where are you going tonight?/Where are you going this weekend?/Where are you going tomorrow?’, etc. And all this with just one language structure.

In Italian: ‘Dove vai? Dove vai stasera? Dove vai questo fine settimana? Dove vai domani?’

Learn the useful language structures, or bits of a language to be able to say a lot from the very beginning without having to learn things by heart (I will tell you in a moment where to find the language structures you need).

Along with language structures, you should only focus on useful words that EVERYONE needs (enough of word lists made up of words you can’t use!).

And where do you find these language structures?

Preferably in a meaningful context, such as in conversation!

And using and practising all of this whilst learning will make it even more rewarding because, once you have completed the day’s short study session, you will already be able to use everything you have learnt with natives!

Now let me ask you a question: if you had a place to find all these language structures – an easy day-to-day plan to commit them to your brain – as well as guidance from me, do you think you could learn Italian fast?

Of course you could!

And that’s exactly why I created my language course, ‘Smart Lessons for busy people’!

The concept behind Smart-lessons for busy people is the following:

You have a clear and easy program to follow.

This program is designed to enable you to speak Italian from Day 1, and reach A1/A2 level after just 30 days through daily short study sessions that help you absorb language structures like the ones that I just described!

The program offers 7-minute audio lessons to listen to every day; and if you take time to use the extra materials provided with the audio, you won’t have to spend more than 15-30 minutes a day to get those results!

If this sounds interesting, you’re up to the challenge and want to make amazing progress in Italian in the coming 30 days, then let me tell you exactly what this program offers.

1. A Lesson Pack with Daily Lessons that contain all the study materials you need

First of all, you get 30 days’ worth of daily Italian audio lessons, created by me.

These contain meaningful conversations that you are likely to encounter when talking directly with Italian native speakers. That way, you only learn useful words that you’ll actually need in real life. Enough already with frustrating words lists full of specialised vocabulary you’ll never actually use!

They also contain the language structures we’ve talked about before that are fundamental to speaking Italian easily and from the very beginning!

Every lesson comes with

  • Downloadable audio files to learn on-the-go

  • A transcript of the lesson to read along with and make sure you understand every single word

  • A grammar summary to revise and learn important new grammar topics that come up in the lesson

  • A reference list of useful words (you’ll also be memorising these automatically while going through the course)

  • Exercises to put everything into practice

  • Speaking exercises! After all, speaking Italian with native speakers is what it’s all about, isn’t it? 🙂

The nice thing is that we’re using the ‘spaced repetition’ technique to repeat and revise the words and structures in a strategic way throughout the 30 lessons.

That means that, if you stick to the lesson schedule and just listen to the audio every day, you will memorise the most important words and structures on auto-pilot!

2. A community with other Italian students and weekly live practice sessions with me!

As part of your enrolment in this program, you’ll also get access to our ‘Smart Lessons for busy learners’ accountability community!

In this community, you can:

  • Post any questions you have and interact with me, other learners and other native speakers.

  • I even hold weekly live sessions where you can ask me any questions and practise your Italian with me! That way you can enjoy using what you learn in a safe and pleasant environment.

  • You can also share your struggles and victories with me and the other learners. And I’ll check in with you weekly during the Challenge to make sure you stay on track!

As you can see, you’re not in this alone, we’ve got your back (Ci siamo per te)!

As part of your enrolment, you get lifetime access to our Smart Italian for busy people community.

In short: you get all the materials and all the guidance you need to reach the A1/A2 level by the end of this 30-day challenge and have actual conversations with native speakers.

How to enrol

Here’s the thing: for the past years, I’ve almost exclusively taught students 1-on-1. My rate for 1-on-1 lessons is €50/hour. Say we were to do 30 1-on-1 lessons in a challenge…you do the math. It would get expensive, fast.

However, I’ve now included everything I would usually teach 1-on-1 in a package that combines self-study with coaching from me, which means I can offer it at a lower price!

Right now, you can enrol in this 30-day challenge for just 179 €.
